Hastings resident, Cheryl Ann (Cramer) Peters, 58, passed away after a long and courageous struggle with breast cancer on All Saint's Day, Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Good Samaritan Village in Hastings, Nebraska.
Private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the family. There will be no viewing or visitation.
She was born on February 27, 1957 in Hastings, Nebraska to Marlyce (Ryan) & Glen Cramer. Cheryl attended St. Michael's and St. Cecilia's schools before graduating from Hastings High School in 1975. She worked as a telephone operator for Lincoln Telephone & Telegraph Company and attended Central Technical Community College. She attended the Creighton Nursing Program at Hastings College while working at Good Samaritan Village in Hastings. In 1991, she married Jasper Peters and moved to Evanston, Wyoming, where she was employed at the local nursing home. In 1992, they celebrated the birth of a beautiful baby daughter she named Sarah after her maternal great-grandmother. The marriage ended in divorce in 1999, and Cheryl dedicated herself to lovingly raising Sarah. An open soul and an independent spirit, Cheryl greatly valued family and loved thrift shops, movies, and music, preferring the oldies. She will be greatly missed.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Glen Cramer and her grandparents, Marvel & Ed Ryan and Ruby & Howard Cramer.
