Christine Stein

Hastings resident Christine M. Stein, 58, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, NE.

Rosary is 5 p.m. Sunday, March 4, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday, March 5 at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Hastings with Father Caleb La Rue officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation is 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church. The family asks that casual attire be worn if attending services.

Christine was born March 27, 1959, in Hastings, NE to Marshall E. & Berniece (Gilbert) Stein. She graduated from Hastings High School and attended Hastings College. Christine worked at Montgomery Wards, Johnson Cashway, and was an interior consultant for Jacobi's. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church. Christine enjoyed playing bingo, telling jokes, and was an avid Husker fan.

Christine was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents, Marshall & Berniece Stein; and step-mother, Lillian (Lemke) Stein.
