Christopher Johnson

Hastings resident, Christopher Arnold "Chris" Johnson, 58, went to live with his Savior on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 while surrounded by friends and family at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, May 13, 2017; 10:00 A.M. at North Shore Assembly of God Church, Hastings with Pastor Chris Johnson officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. There will be no viewing or visitation.

Chris was born on December 9, 1958 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Ralph and Ruth (Smith) Johnson. Chris was one of seven children. He graduated from Lincoln Northeast in 1977. In 1979, Chris married Lorie Rogers in Lyons, Nebraska. Chris joined the Air Force and was a loadmaster on the C-130 Hercules. After being honorably discharged from the service, Chris went on to graduate with honors from the University of Nebraska College of Law. He then accepted a job in Hastings with Doug Pauley where he eventually became partner at Conway, Pauley & Johnson P.C. Chris and his paralegal Joan Coble built a legacy advocating the benefits of shared parenting for children. Chris will be remembered as a selfless man who always sought out the good in people. He always aspired to be a servant to others. What made Chris special was the devout love he had for Lorie, for his family, for his Savior, and his clients.

Chris was preceded in death by his father.
