Claire Elizabeth Theisen

Claire Elizabeth Theisen, 27, passed away Tuesday, February 18, in Omaha, NE. 

Claire was born on February 17, 1998, in Hastings, NE to Gerald R. and Norma J. (Kort) Theisen. She graduated from Saint Cecilia High School in 2016 and received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from UNMC in 2020. 

Claire worked as a registered nurse at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha early in her career. She then became a traveling nurse, working at a variety of hospitals in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. She made many great friends while living in Florida, and the Palm Beach area became a second-home during the past few years. She was a member of Saint Michael’s Catholic Church. Claire always considered family time as special, and spending time with her nieces and nephews was always a source of great joy. “Claire Bear” loved spoiling her eight nieces and nephews. Claire’s beautiful smile and laughter always brought great joy to those around her. She always had a contagious smile and quick wit, which was always appreciated by those around her, including patients under her care.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 23 from 3-5 p.m. at the church, with the family greeting family and friends, and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.

Rosary will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, February 23, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 24, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Hastings. Father Cyrus Rowan, Father Jeremy Hazuka, and Father Thomas Brouillette will concelebrate the Mass. The burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings.

Claire was preceded in death by her Grandparents Vern and Dorothy Theisen, Norman Kort, aunt Sandra Paxton, uncles James Bibeault and James Kort.

Grandmother: Betty Kort 
Nieces and nephews: Jacob, Ben, Nolan and Elise Theisen. Ava, Joseph, Madalyn, and Luke Yates. 
Many cousins on both the Theisen and Kort families.
