Claren II

Former Hastings resident, Claren Russell Kerr, II, 55, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014 in Peachtree City, Georgia.

Services will be Wednesday, December 17, 2014; 11:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church, Hastings with Pastor Greg Lindenberger officiating. Private family burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 16, 2014; 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with family present. Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church.

Claren was born in Hastings, Nebraska on May 16, 1959 to Jerrold & Sara (Dougherty) Kerr. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1977 and the University of Missouri in 1981. He married Beverly Phillips in December, 1986. Claren was co-manager of Kerr Apple Orchard, Inc. in Lexington, Missouri from 1987 until 2003. He and Beverly then lived in Peachtree City, Georgia. He was employed by the Transportation Security Administration at the Atlanta International Airport at the time of his death. Claren always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye for his family.
