Clarence Olson

Hastings resident, Clarence "Curly" Olson, 89, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Mary Lanning Health Care, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services with military rites by Hastings Veterans Organization will be Thursday, February 12, 2015; 10:30 A.M. at Butler Volland Funeral Home, Hastings, Nebraska with Pastor Greg Lindenberger officiating. Burial will be in Utica Cemetery, Utica, Nebraska, 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.

Clarence "Curly" Olson, 89 of Hastings passed away February 8, 2015. He was born June 21, 1925 in Greeley to CJ and Bridgette Olson. He retired from Southern Nebraska Rural Public Power. Clarence was a World War II Vet in the Navy Seebees. He married the love of his life, Arllys (Chapman), on February 8, 1947.

Survivors include wife of 68 years, Arllys; daughters: Patty Scheideler of Crete, Judy (Roger) Boyce of North Bend, WA; daughter-in-law: Linda Olson of Lincoln. Granddaughter: Kelly (Brian) Christiansen of Lincoln; Great granddaughters: Taylor (Evan)Hohnstein, and Hanna Christiansen all of Lincoln. Sister: Lela Clark of Laguna Hills, CA.

He was preceded in death by parents; brother, Leland, and son, Don.
