Clark Hogate

February 8, 1917 — December 15, 2007

Former Blue Hill resident, Clark W. Hogate, 90, of Grand Island Veterans Home, died Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the Veterans Home.

Services will be Wednesday, December 19, 2007; 1:00 P.M. at Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Burial with military rites will be in Plainview Cemetery, near Bladen, Nebraska. Visitation will be will be Tuesday, December 18, 2007; 3 P.M.- 9 P.M at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Mr. Hogate was born February 8, 1917 in Blue Hill, Nebraska to Charles & Etta (Hadden) Hogate. He graduated from High School and served in the United States Air Force. He married Laura Jean Keller and she preceded him in death on September 20, 2001. He was self employed in the tire business in Phoenix, Arizona. He was a member of BMW in Phoenix and volunteered for RV parks in Santa Rosa, New Mexico and Bard, California. He was also a multi-engine rated pilot and a motorcycle policeman in Des Moines, Iowa. He returned to Bladen, Nebraska in 1971 and then to Blue Hill, Nebraska. He was a member of RV Clubs in Nebraska.

Mr. Hogate was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Laura Jean, sister, Julia Ray, two brothers-in-law and an infant brother, Patrick Hogate.

Son: Clark Hogate Jr. - Tucson, AZ
Grandchildren: 9
Great Grandchildren: 25
Sister: Wilma Coulthard - Des Moines, IA
