Holstein resident, Clifford T. Cline, 83, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Veterans Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.
Services will be Monday, June 6, 2011; 10:00 A.M. at North Shore Assembly of God Church, Hastings with Pastor Tony Anderson officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Sunday, June 5, 2011; 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. with family present at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service. Memorials may be given to donor's choice.
Clifford was born December 24, 1927 in Tilden, Nebraska to Thomas & Gertrude (Meyer) Cline. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Tilden. He grew up in Royal and Oakdale, Nebraska and graduated from Tilden High School in 1946. Clifford served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War from August 16, 1946 until January 22, 1948. Clifford was a retired plumber and worked in many states; he joined the local 16 Plumbers Union in Omaha in 1962. He married Phyllis (Boyd) Hoy on March 30, 1996. His hobbies included raising pigeons, fishing, and spending time with his family
Clifford was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Cline; and aunt & uncle, Mable & George Ihde.
