Hastings resident, Cole C. Wicks, 64, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, November 25, 2017; 11:00 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. There will be no viewing or visitation.
Cole was born December 29, 1952 in Perry, Iowa to Gerald D. & Norma J. (Cole) Wicks. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1971 and attended Central Community College where he received his CDL. Cole married Marilyn Schroeder on September 14, 1974 at First St. Paul's Lutheran in Hastings.
Cole was employed at T-L Irrigation for 20 years and Eaton Corporation for 10 years. After he received his CDL he was a truck driver for Mary Uden. He attended First St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral. Cole was a member of NRA, UCT, and Four River Sportsman's Club. He loved fishing, hunting, truck driving, cooking, working with his hands, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
