Coleen Jenkins

Juniata resident, Coleen A. "Adele" Jenkins, 75, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Saturday, August 9, 2014; 10:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Greg Volzke officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Friday, August 8, 2014; 1:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., and one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Christ Lutheran Church, rural Juniata, Nebraska.

Coleen was born July 8, 1939 in Red Oak, Iowa to Lloyd & Blanche (McPherson) Sueverkruebbe. She moved with her parents to Hastings in 1942. Coleen attended Hastings High School and graduated in 1958. She married Ernest Jenkins on July 22, 1965. In 1963, she began working at Home Federal Savings until 1986 and Hastings Motor Sales from 1988 until she retired in 2002. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and Lutherans for Life.

Coleen was preceded in death by her parents.
