Connie A. (Kallos) Theoharis

Hastings resident Connie A. (Kallos) Theoharis, 78, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024, at her home. 

Memorial Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Chaplain John Mueller officiating. There will be no burial at this time. Visitation will be 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. with the family present 2-4 p.m. Friday, June 28, and one hour before the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Connie was born July 23, 1945, in Grand Island, NE to Christ and Helen (Treantos) Kallos. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1963. Connie married Nicholas P. Theoharis on February 22, 1969, in Kansas City, MO; he preceded her in death on September 30, 1995.

Connie managed the Ponderosa Bowl in Hastings until she retired in 1996. She was a member of the Elks Club. Connie enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs. She loved supporting her grandchildren and going to their activities and spending time with her family. 

“Yiayia” Connie was a person everyone knew and loved as she had a zest for life that could not be eclipsed. She was extremely proud of her Greek heritage and everyone reveled in her Greek cooking. 

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nicholas P. Theoharis; and brother, John Kallos.
