Curt Zubrod

Hastings resident, Curt J. Zubrod, 70, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010 at his residence.

Rosary will be Sunday, September 26, 2010; 7:30 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, September 27, 2010; 10:30 A.M. at Assumption Catholic Church, Assumption, Nebraska with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Assumption, Nebraska. Visitation will be Saturday, September 25, 2010; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., Sunday, September 26, 2010; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and 1 hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to the family; a memorial will be established at a later date.

Curt was born April 7, 1940 in Roseland, Nebraska to Joseph & Mary (Pittz) Zubrod. He graduated from Roseland High School in 1958 and attended Lincoln School of Commerce in Lincoln, Nebraska for one year. On November 30, 1963 he married Mavon Parr at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Hastings, Nebraska. He farmed the Roseland area for over 30 years. Curt was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hastings, Nebraska and the Knights of Columbus, Roseland/Assumption, Nebraska.

Curt was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Robin Zubrod; and one brother, Daniel Zubrod.
