Cylina Garrity

Former Hastings resident, Cylina Marie Garrity, 93, of Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, Nebraska, died September 1, 2006 at Harvard Rest Haven.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday September 2, 2006 at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial was at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials to St. Cecilia's Catholic Church.

Mrs. Garrity was born May 22, 1913 in Campbell, Nebraska to Isadore & Mary (Champoux) Breault. She moved with her family at an early age to Inavale, Nebraska and then to Red Cloud, Nebraska where she received her education. In her late teens, she moved to Medford, Oregon. On July 31, 1937, she married Patrick J. Garrity in Sparta, Wisconsin. They moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1939 where Patrick worked for General Motors. Patrick preceded her in death in 1964. In 1976, she moved to Hastings, Nebraska to care for her parents. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

Mrs. Garrity was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Patrick.
