Cynthia "Cindy" Kay Herbek, 58, of Deweese, Nebraska died Friday, December 31, 2010, at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Wednesday, January 5, 2011; 1:00 P.M. at Evangelical Free Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Rev. Randy Madison officiating. Private family burial will be at a later date. Book signing will be Monday and Tuesday at the Butler Volland Funeral Home from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. Memorials may be given to Evangelical Free Church.

Cindy Kay Herbek was born April 9, 1952 in Hastings, Nebraska to Eugene & Mary ann (Rader) Wagner. She lived in Kearney and moved to Hastings with her family where she graduated from Hastings High School. She married Donald J. Herbek on April 9, 1972 in Hastings. They lived in Hastings, Lawrence and Deweese. Cindy was a homemaker and a foster parent. She enjoyed reading, music and cooking for her family and friends. She was a member of Evangelical Free Church, an AWANA Leader at the church and a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, Deweese.

Cindy Kay Herbek was preceded in death by her father.
