Cynthia Verbeck

Hastings resident, Cynthia "Cindy" A. Verbeck, 62, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010 at her residence.

Rosary will be Sunday, March 28, 2010; 7:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel, and Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 29, 2010; 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hastings with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Saturday, March 27, 2010; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., and Sunday, March 28, 2010; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and 1 hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to the family; a memorial will be established at a later date.

Cindy was born March 18, 1948 in Hastings, Nebraska to Henry "Hank" & Margaret "Peg" (Alexander) Villarreal. She graduated from Harvard High School. On September 1, 1967, she married Larry Verbeck in Hastings, Nebraska. She worked at Hastings Industries and Thermo King before retiring. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. She was very proud of her 10 grandchildren and her collection of 2,200 salt & pepper shakers.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents.
