Hastings resident, Dalbert R. Pittman, 87, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.
Graveside Services will be Thursday, May 15, 2014; 10:00 A.M. at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hastings with Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 14, 2014; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
Dalbert was born January 20, 1927 in Frankfort, Kansas to John & Pearl (Scoville) Pittman. He married Doris Jennings on August 29, 1944 in Smith Center, Kansas; she preceded him in death in 1986. Dalbert worked at the family business OK Café, Naval Ammunition Depot for a few years, and was a manager for 35 years at Roto-Rooter which was another family owned business. He was a past member of the Eagles Club.
Dalbert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris Pittman; five sisters; two brothers; and two grandsons, Nick & Tim.
