Daniel Wilson

Inland resident, Daniel S. Wilson, 57, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 due to a motorcycle accident.

Services will be Thursday, October 27, 2016; 10:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Travis King officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Trumbull. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 26, 2016; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Daniel was born March 30, 1959 in Omaha, Nebraska to Harry D. & Dorothy (DeVries) Wilson. He graduated from Trumbull High School in 1977 and attended Chadron State College. Daniel married Sheryl Stevens on May 5, 1979 in Trumbull; they later divorced. He married Melody King on December 1, 1993.

Daniel worked for Grandpa Ralph Wilson until 1996 and worked in construction most of his life as a millwright. He helped build numerous ethanol plants, wind turbines, and elevators across the Midwest. Daniel enjoyed remodeling old tractors, going to "Old Trusty Days" in Clay Center, and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of Trumbull United Methodist Church.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Harry D. Wilson.
