D'Ann Rae Scheiding

Hastings resident D’Ann Rae Scheiding, 66, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, at CHI St. Francis, Grand Island, NE.    

Memorial Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 4, at Faith Lutheran Church in Hastings with Pastor Paul Dunbar officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Blue Valley Cemetery in Ayr. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.

D'Ann was born January 4, 1957 in Hastings, NE to Alvin and Norma (Dykeman) Franklin. She graduated from Adams Central High School in 1975 and Joseph’s College of Beauty. D’Ann married Ron Scheiding on September 3, 1982.

D’Ann was a hairdresser and then worked at Allen’s; retiring in 2015. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. D’Ann loved to go out and eat at restraunts and enjoyed car rides.

D’Ann was preceded in death by her parents; son, Shawn Scheiding; and sister, Doris Fry.
