Darlene Land

Grand Island resident, Darlene R. Land, 65, of 3423 W. Kelly St. #202, died Monday, May 22, 2006 at Saint Francis Medical Center, Grand Island, Nebraska.

Services will be Thursday, May 25, 2006; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Glenvil Cemetery, Glenvil, Nebraska.

Mrs. Land was born December 21, 1940 in Humboldt, Nebraska to Charles A. & N. Lucille (Daugherty) McRoberts. She graduated from Glenvil High School, Glenvil, Nebraska and attended a cosmetology school in Hastings, Nebraska. On December 5, 1959, she married Billy Land in Glenvil, Nebraska. They moved from Glenvil to Grand Island, Nebraska in 1979. She was a homemaker and built her Avon route to the status of Diamond. She worked for Bens Rexall Drug Store and was a previous co-owner of Jessie's Treasurers Woodcraft and also a co-owner & secretary for Livestock Trucking Company all in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Mrs. Land was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Billy and a sister, Charlene Haney.

Memorial may be given to The Family - A memorial will be established at a later date.

VISITATION: Tue. 5-23-06; 5pm-9pm.
Wed. 5-24-06; 9am-9pm with family present 6pm-8pm
Thurs. 5-25-06; 9am until service time
