Darlene Stromer

Glenvil resident, Darlene Ann Stromer, 83, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Saturday, November 7, 2015; 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Glenvil with Pastor Tom Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Glenvil Cemetery, Glenvil. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Glenvil. Visitation will be Friday, November 6, 2015; 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Darlene was born February 3, 1932 in Hastings, Nebraska to Martin & Margaret (Eigenberg) Utecht. She married Carl F. Stromer on June 25, 1950; he preceded her in death on May 13, 2000. Darlene owned and operated the Glenvil Café, her other work experiences included homemaker, custodian at Glenvil and Sandy Creek School Districts, and Hastings Regional Center. She was a very active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Glenvil and served on the flower committee for many years.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl F. Stromer; brothers, Eldon Utecht and Vernon Utecht; and sister, Lucille Weber.
