Darline Minkler

Hastings resident Darline M. Minkler, 85, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 2, at First United Methodist Church in Hastings with Pastor Greg Lindenberger officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Healthcare for the nursery. Visitation is 1-8 p.m. with family present 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Darline was born October 19, 1932, in Smith Center, KS to Clifford & Zelpha (Smith) Haas. She married Melvin M. Minkler on April 1, 1950, in Norton, KS; he preceded her in death on January 11, 2009. Darline was employed as a nurse's aide for Mary Lanning Healthcare from 1962 to 2008. She especially enjoyed her time working in labor and delivery and the newborn nursery. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, a coffee group that meets at Wendy's, and was a past Cub Scout leader.

Darline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin M. Minkler; infant sister, Babe; brother, Fredrick; sister, Waneitta; and beloved dog Mac Minkler.
