Former Ayr resident, David "Dave" Gene Fredricks, 70, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at his home in Hastings, Nebraska.
Services will be Tuesday, December 30, 2014; 10:30 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Glenvil with Pastor Tom Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Glenvil Cemetery, Glenvil. Visitation will be Monday, December 29, 2014; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be given to the family for a donation to be given to Muscular Dystrophy-Inclusion Body Myositis, Nebraska Therapeutic Horse Riding or Autism Speaks.
Dave was born October 5, 1944 in Hastings, Nebraska to Virgil & Mildred (Yost) Fredricks. He was baptized on November 5, 1944 by Rev. Richard Freuhling and confirmed on March 22, 1958 by Rev. Arnold Vocke at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Glenvil, Nebraska. Dave graduated from Glenvil High School and married Susan Ocker on February 15, 1963 in Bird City, Kansas. Dave was a farmer in the area for many years. He was a very active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Harness Hustlers Driving Club.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents; aunt & uncle, Lleland & Helen Frickey; and granddaughter, Rachel Fredricks.
