David Robinson

Hastings resident, David Owens Robinson, 73, or 1414 South Pine Ridge Ct., died Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services will be Monday, September 15, 2008; 11:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Pastor Adam White officiating. Private family interment in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Robinson was born November 8, 1934 in Franklin, Nebraska to John Weston & Margaret (Owens) Robinson. He attended Franklin Public School and served in the United States Navy during the Korean and Viet Nam Wars, from April 1952 until 1977. He earned a college degree in Business & Meteorology. He met and married Yae Matsui in Japan and they had one son, Daniel. She preceded him in death in 2006. He worked for the Geographical Survey for the Federal Government in Colorado. He moved to the Hastings area in 2007. He was a loving father and brother to all his family and especially to his dog, Samson.

Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Yae and his son, Daniel.
