David "Dave" Lounsbury

Hastings resident David J. “Dave” Lounsbury, 68, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at his home.

Memorial Services are 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, at Lakeside Community Church of the Nazarene in Hastings with Pastor John Whitsett and Pastor Debra Rhodes officiating. Private family burial will be at a later date in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation will be 9-7 p.m. with family present 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Dave was born November 19, 1949, in Pittsburgh, PA to John I. & Mary (Sanders) Lounsbury. He graduated from Central City High School. Dave married Jerre Shelton on March 5, 1967, in Central City, NE. He was employed by Southern Public Power District as a lineman for over 40 years.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and longtime friend, Larry Thompson.
