Dean F. Cecrle, 56, of 700 Valley Chase Ave, died Thursday, January 2, 2003 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.
Services will be Saturday, January 4, 2003; 10:30 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Pastor Barry Rempp & Rev. Karen Roback officiating. Burial will be 2:00 P.M. at Eureka Cemetery, northwest of Daykin, Nebraska.
Dean F. Cecrle was born August 2, 1946 in Friend, Nebraska to Frank & Rose Marie (Sadlo) Cecrle. He graduated from Daykin High School, Daykin, Nebraska and from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science degree, double major in Biology & Science and Masters of Education with an emphasis in Secondary Education. He married Deborah Davis on June 16, 1973 in Ankeny, Iowa. He taught school in Wichita, Kansas and Silver Lake at Roseland, Nebraska before coming to Hastings High School, Hastings, Nebraska in 1992. He was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, where he was a Trustee, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Assistant Moderator & Moderator, Nebraska State Education Association, Hastings Education Association, Western Fraternal Life Lodge and a past member of the Lion's Club. His interest's were outdoor activities and farming.
Dean F. Cecrle was preceded in death by his father.
