Dean Glassmyer

Dean A. Glassmyer, 69, of 2609 W. 3rd St., Hastings, Nebraska, died Sunday, December 28, 2003 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Friday, January 2, 2004; 10:00 A. M. at Butler-Volland Chapel, Hastings, Nebraska with Ken Ellis officiating. Burial with military rites by Offutt Air Force Base Honor Guard will be 2:00 P. M. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska.

He was born December 24, 1934 in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania to Edward & Eva (Ericsson) Glassmyer. He graduated from Lemoyne High School in 1952 and joined the United States Air Force on October 11, 1954 and retired on October 31, 1976. He married Joan C. Wallis in Little Rock, Arkansas on November 6, 1959. He was stationed with the U.S. Air Force Detachment 10 (SAC) at Hastings, Nebraska. He retired from Great Plains Chrysler-Dodge in 2001. He was a member of the Church of Christ and V.F.W.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Edward & Eric Glassmyer and three sisters, Natalie Eavey, Barbara (Thompson) Mueller and Carolyn Zimmerman.
