Former Hastings resident, DeEtta T. Ihm, 93, of Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, Nebraska, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at Harvard Rest Haven.
Memorial graveside services will be Friday, April 29, 2005; 11:00 A.M. at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska with Rev. Dr. William G. Nottage-Tacey officiating. No visitation or viewing.
Mrs. Ihm was born February 14, 1912 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Benton W. & Cornelia (Reynolds) Humphrey. She graduated from Hopkinton High School, Hopkinton, Iowa and for Grinnell College, Grinnell, Iowa. On June 12, 1935, she married Robert E. Ihm in Hopkinton, Iowa and he preceded her in death on January 23, 1999. They moved from Guttenberg, Iowa to Hastings, Nebraska in 1952. She did her post graduate studies at Kearney State College, now University of Nebraska, Kearney, Kearney, Nebraska. She taught at Longfellow Elementary and Morton Elementary schools for 25 years, retiring in 1977. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Hastings Area Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed her family and needlework.
Mrs. Ihm was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert 'Bob'.
