DeEtta Richards

Hastings resident DeEtta D. Richards, 62, of 600 Ringland Road, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Saturday, June 10, 2006; 10:30 A.M. at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with Rev. Judith Allen officiating. There will be Eastern Star Services. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mrs. Richards was born June 24, 1943 in Concordia, Kansas to Ernest & Gladys (Levitt) Callaway. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1961 and graduated from Hastings Beauty Academy. On December 24, 1961, she married William E. Richards and he preceded her in death on March 8, 1994. She worked at Garvey Elevators Inc., and Western Land Roller in Hastings, Nebraska. She also worked at Flesner Manufacturer and John Dey in Columbus, Nebraska. She was a Purchasing Director at Great Plains Packaging Co. in Hastings, Nebraska. She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), National Purchasing Association, State Purchasing Association, Eastern Star Charity Chapter 47 of Red Cloud, Nebraska and Acacia Chapter 39 in Hastings, Nebraska where she held several offices and was a past Matron of both Chapters and a member of Daughters of the Nile.

Mrs. Richards was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William E. and one brother, Edward Clark.
