Delbert Stromer

Former Hastings resident, Delbert L. Stromer, 84, of Hamilton Manor, Aurora, Nebraska, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at Hamilton Manor.

Services will be Saturday, June 22, 2002; 10:00 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Pastor Sacia Vik officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Delbert L. Stromer was born June 22, 1917 on the family farm in rural Adams County, Nebraska to William E. & Sarah J. (Harrenstein) Stromer. He attended school at District 23 in rural Adams County. Delbert married Elsie M. Juedeman on August 15, 1939 at Glenvil, Nebraska and she preceded him in death on January 24, 1998. Delbert farmed his entire life in rural Adams and Hall counties. He was actively involved in his church as a choir member, church council, usher, finance committee, 4-H leader, NRD committee man and Mary Lanning Auxiliary member. Delbert enjoyed people, baseball, traveling, bowling, fishing, playing cards and being involved with his grandchildren.

Delbert L. Stromer was preceded in death by his parents, wife Elsie Stromer, 5 brothers, Dick, Reinhard, Alvin, Paul and William Stromer and son-in-law Lynn Lautenschlager.
