Former Hastings resident, Delores Jane Lewis, 68, of Rose Lane Nursing Home, Loup City, Nebraska, died Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at Rose Lane Nursing Home.

Graveside services and burial will be Monday, May 17, 2004; 11:00 A.M. in Sutton Cemetery, Sutton, Nebraska.

Ms. Lewis was born January 12, 1936 in Red Cloud, Nebraska, to Henry Nelson & Dolly B. (Houghtaling) Lewis. She moved with her family to Wyoming and attended school in Cheyenne, Wyoming before moving to Hastings, Nebraska in 1947. She was a care giver for the elderly and also for children. She moved from Hastings in 1965 to Alabama and later to Georgia. In 1985 she returned to Nebraska and lived in Grand Island before moving to Loup City, Nebraska in 1993. In 1998, she moved to the Rose Lane Nursing Home in Loup City.

Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her parents.
