Delores Sanford

Hastings resident, Delores Carlene Sanford, 84, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, Nebraska.

Services will be Wednesday, February 4, 2015; 2:30 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating. Burial will be in Blue Valley Cemetery, Ayr. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 3, 2015; 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., and Wednesday, February 4, 2015; 9:00 A.M. - 2:30 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Harvard Rest Haven.

Delores was born May 28, 1930 near Esbon, Kansas to Carl & Florence (Walden) Small. She graduated from Esbon High School and School of Nursing in Omaha. Delores married Robert D. Sanford on October 12, 1952 in Ayr, Nebraska. She worked at Mary Lanning Healthcare for 33 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dale Small; infant daughter; grandson, Chad Sanford; and son-in-law, Kent Johansen.
