Delvin Brown

Hastings resident, Delvin D. Brown, 78, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Mary Lanning HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, September 20, 2013; 10:30 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church, Hastings with Rev. Dr. William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Burial with military rites by Hastings Veterans Organizations will be in Hanover Presbyterian Churchyard Cemetery, Glenvil, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to Go and Serve Youth at First Presbyterian Church or Hastings Public Library. Visitation will be Thursday, September 19, 2013; 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Delvin was born September 7, 1935 in Johnstown, Nebraska to Lewis & Myrtle (Pate) Brown. He served with the U.S. Army from September 1, 1953 until August 18, 1956. Delvin married Judy Anderson on August 2, 1957. He worked as a materials engineer for Werner Construction in the asphalt department. Delvin was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He loved fishing and was an avid outdoorsman.

Delvin was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Lloyd Brown and Robert Brown.
