Denise Spatz

Hastings resident Denise E. (Schneider) Spatz, 54, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

Rosary is 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, at Butler Volland Chapel and Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Hastings with Father Christopher Kubat officiating. Burial will be held at Parkview Cemetery. Visitation is 1–8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with family greeting friends and relatives from 4–6 p.m., and 1 hour prior to mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.

Denise was born September 25, 1964, in Minden, NE to Donald & Eileen (Ryan) Schneider. She grew up in Heartwell, NE and graduated from Minden High School in 1983. Denise received her dental assistant diploma from Central Community College in Hastings and her LPN diploma from Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE. Denise was employed as a nurse at various nursing homes, clinics, and hospitals in Nebraska and Kansas. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church.

Denise was a hard-working mom, dedicated and compassionate nurse, super housekeeper, and was an avid sports fan especially following University of Nebraska and St. Cecilia athletics and the New England Patriots. She had a big heart and loved all her family.

Denise was preceded in death by her father, Donald Schneider and daughter, Jennifer Spatz.
