Diana Powell

Hastings resident, Diana Joyce (Patterson) Powell, 64, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at Bryan Medical Center West, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Memorial Services will be Monday, February 6, 2017; 11:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Chaplain John Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family. There will be no viewing or visitation.

Diana was born February 10, 1952 to Robert Rueben & Joyce Elaine (Plank) Patterson in Superior, Nebraska. Her family moved to Hastings in 1953. Diana attended Hastings Senior High. She married Michael Henry Elliott in 1968. Diana worked at Hastings Industries, Bruckman Rubber, and at Wal-Mart managing the snack bar. She married a second time to Lloyd Dale Powell Jr. in 1978. Diana enjoyed bingo, outdoor life, and her family and friends. She loved her animals; Beanie, Wootzy, Sheba, Furby, Minnie Mouse, Caramel, and Maggie.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Darryl James Patterson; and son-in-law, Gary Wayne Kennedy.
