Hastings resident, Dixie A. Still, 78, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln, NE.
Memorial Services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Hastings with Pastor Jessica Palys officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Marceline, MO. Book signing will be Wednesday, March 14, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Hastings with family present. Memorials may be given to the Dixie A. Still Memorial Fund.
Dixie was born March 27, 1939, in Kingsley, IA to Vernon R. & Inez M. (Grubb) Preston. She graduated in 1957 from Marceline High School in Marceline, MO. Dixie married Juan A. Still on January 9, 1960; he preceded her in death on November 14, 1998.
Dixie was employed by Wells Fargo Bank and Hastings State Bank as a customer service representative. She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ and Women's Fellowship. Dixie was very active in church and enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and casinos.
Dixie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Juan A. Still; sister and brother-in-law, Janice & Wes Lee; and sister-in-law, Delores Holt.
