Dolores Busboom

Former Hastings resident, Dolores "Dee" Busboom, 84, passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 at Methodist Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska.

Rosary will be Monday, July 29, 2013; 7:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, July 30, 2013; 10:00 A.M. St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Hastings with Father Joseph M. Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to Hastings Catholic Schools Trust or American Legion Auxiliary. Visitation will be Monday, July 29, 2013; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church on Tuesday.

Dee was born October 30, 1928 in Nenzel, Nebraska to Graydon G. & Flora E. (Nollette) White. She graduated from St. Cecilia's Catholic High School in 1946. Dee married Harry L. Colombe on July 25, 1949; he preceded her in death in 1957. She married Melvin W. Busboom on February 20, 1962 at

St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Hastings; he preceded her in death on November 17, 1995. Dee worked as a bookkeeper for the YMCA until she retired in 1983. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, St. Cecilia's Altar Society, Hastings Deanery Council of Catholic Women, American Legion Auxiliary, 8/40, DOES, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and YMCA.

Dee was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Harry L. Colombe and Melvin W. Busboom; infant son, sister, Mary Rogers; and brothers, John B. White and James White.
