Dolores Dieken

Hastings resident, Dolores L. Dieken, 77, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Rosary will be Sunday, October 28, 2012; 7:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings, Nebraska. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 29, 2012; 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Saturday, October 27, 2012; 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., Sunday, October 28, 2012; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church on Monday. Memorials may be given to St. Michael's Catholic Church.

Dolores was born May 17, 1935 in Hastings, Nebraska to Frank & Caroline (Schifferns) Zubrod. She graduated from Roseland High School. Dolores married Melvin E. Dieken on June 24, 1961. She worked at Hastings College in the Alumni Office and then was a homemaker. Dolores was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Altar Society, and Eagles Auxiliary. She loved to travel and camp with family and friends. Dolores also enjoyed doing genealogy.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents.
