Former Hastings resident, Dona D. Wolfe, passed away May 16, 2014 at Poudre Valley Hospital, Fort Collins, Colorado after a short illness.
Services were Tuesday, May 20, 2014; 4:00 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fort Collins, Colorado. A Graveside Service will be Saturday, May 24, 2014; 10:00 A.M. at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska with Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating. Visitation will be Friday, May 23, 2014; 1P.M. until 7P.M. with family present from 5P.M. - 7P.M. at Butler Volland Funeral Home.
Dona was born August 10, 1925 in Giltner, Nebraska to Vern & Edna Rowe. She grew up in Hastings, where she met and later married Hubert Wolfe in 1948. Dona worked as a secretary for the government in Washington, and later at CSU. She lived in Fort Collins for 50 years. She was an avid bowler, and secretary and later president of the local women's bowling league in Fort Collins. Dona enjoyed crocheting, sewing, attending church, and helping raise her granddaughter.
Dona was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert and daughter, Annette.
