Donald Biggs Jr

Hastings resident, Donald B. Biggs Jr., 67, of 3100 Parklane Dr. #6, died Monday, April 20, 2009 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Memorial service will be Saturday, April 25, 2009; 11:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Pastor Adam White officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to the family.

Mr. Biggs was born June 29, 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska to Donald B. Sr. & Beatrice (Brewster) Biggs. He graduated from Omaha Central High School and enlisted in the United States Marines, serving from September 1959 to August 1963 in San Diego, California. On June 20, 1964, he married Mary Ann Dvorak in Omaha. He worked for Standard Beauty Supply in Omaha for 33 years. In 1973, they moved to Hastings and he continued to work for Standard Beauty Supply until his retirement. He then drove the school bus for Zion Lutheran School and also for Head Start. He was a past member of Hastings Skylarks Model Airplane Club and of Sertoma.

Mr. Biggs was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter.
