His first congregation was in Hamburg, IA followed by churches in North Bend, Fairbury, Minden, Edgar, and Steel City. He also served as an interim pastor at First Presbyterian in Hastings, NE.

opportunity to share with others about what his children and grandchildren were doing. He was a beloved pastor, mentor, and friend to many, and he will be missed by all who loved him and were loved by him.
Don’s parents preceded him in death as did brothers-in-law, Bob Kappius and Monty Cope; and sister-in-law, Carolee Yockey.
