Donald Cogley

Former Omaha resident, Donald Cogley, 86, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Wedgewood Care Center, Grand Island, Nebraska.

Services will be Thursday, November 3, 2016; 11:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association.

Donald was born December 17, 1929 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Lloyd & Alice (Richardson) Cogley. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Donald married Mary Ann Raes on September 17, 1949; she preceded him in death on March 16, 2012.

He worked as an executive for Northwestern Bell Telephone in Omaha. Donald was a longtime member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was an avid HAM Radio operator and member of a computer club in Omaha.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Ann Cogley; and daughter, Diane Petersen.
