Donald Koch

January 3, 1922 — May 1, 2007

Hastings resident, Donald D. Koch, 85, of 1002 East 'F' Street, died Friday, April 27, 2007 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Tuesday, May 1, 2007; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Dr. William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Monday, April 30, 2007; 6pm-8:30 pm & Tuesday, May 1, 2007; 9am until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Hospice or First Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Koch was born January 3, 1922 to David & Emma (Hinkle) Koch at Prosser, Nebraska. He moved with his family to Holstein, Nebraska at a young age. He attended the Holstein Public School system. He served in the United States Army from 1946-1947. On May 1, 1946, he married Jean Arnold. He attended United Television Laboratory School in Louisville, Kentucky in 1950-1952. From 1952-1955, he was employed by Collins Radio Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, then returned to Hastings and operated Don's T.V. Sales & Service from 1956 until retiring in 1993. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the V.F.W.

Mr. Koch was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and six brothers.

Alicia Anderson - McCook, NE
Great Grandchildren: Grace & Ayden Desmond - Kearney, NE
