Hastings resident, Donald Clifford Mapes, 91, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at Good Samaritan Society-Hastings (Perkins Pavilion), Hastings, Nebraska.
Graveside Services for family and close friends, will be Wednesday, April 9, 2014; 11:00 A.M. Burial with military rites by Hastings Veterans Organizations will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, with Pastor William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Memorials may be given to Heartland Pet Connection.
Donald was born July 10, 1922 in Aurora, Nebraska to Henry and Nancy (Nelson) Mapes. He was a graduate of Hastings High School. Donald served in the Army during World War II. He married Beulah Ernst September 11, 1942. Donald was the owner of "Don's Plumbing and Heating." He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Elks, Optimist, and the American Legion.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
