Donald Runcie Sr

Donald Lee Runcie Sr., 75, of 2410 West 5th Street died Wednesday, February 20, 2002 at his home after a long illness.

Services will be Saturday, February 23, 2002; 2:00 P.M. at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Miller & Rev. Dean Joy officiating. Private family interment at a later date.

Donald Lee Runcie Sr. was born March 20, 1926 in Hastings, Nebraska to Hiram & Pearle (Rutan) Runcie. He attended Hastings High School until 1944. He entered the U. S. Army and was a veteran of WWII and Korea. He served in the 24th Infantry Division and was discharged in 1951. He married Jean Pontine on April 17, 1949. He worked for Hastings Industries for 37 years retiring in 1983. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a past member of Southern Hill Golf Course. His hobbies included working with stained glass, golfing, singing in the Chorus of the Plains and the Neighborhood Four Quartet.

Donald Lee Runcie Sr. was preceded in death by his father.

His Mother: Pearle Runcie Woods - Hastings, NE
8 Grandchildren
3 Great-Grandchildren

Memorial may be given to the Family

Sat: 2-23-02 9am-12noon at funeral home
1hour prior to service at church
