Donald Wynn

Hastings resident, Donald A. Wynn, 58, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Monday, May 24, 2010; 10:30 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with the Rev. Dr. Judith Allen officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Saturday, May 22, 2010; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M., Sunday, May 23, 2010; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. with family present from 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., and one hour prior to service at Butler Volland Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.

Donald was born January 18, 1952 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Russell & Delores (Kent) Wynn. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1970. On July 9, 1970 he entered the Army serving his country in the Vietnam War, and was honorable discharged on July 6, 1973. On April 14, 2001, he married Carolyn Buffett in Hastings, Nebraska. She preceded him in death on February 19, 2006. He worked for ECI Electric in Grand Island before he became the City Electrical Inspector for Hastings in 2002.

Donald was preceded in death by his father, Russell Wynn; wife, Carolyn (Buffett) Wynn; and grandmother, Mattie Kent.
