Hastings resident, Donna K. Hoyt, 73, passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Memorial Services will be Thursday, January 23, 2014; 2:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church, Hastings with Rev. Dr. Samuel R. Rathod officiating. Burial will be in Clay Center Cemetery, Clay Center, Nebraska. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be given to Susan Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Christian Church of Clay Center, or First United Methodist Church, Hastings.

Donna was born June 27, 1940 in Nelson, Nebraska to Vernon & Gladys (Thurber) Head. She received her GED from Clay Center High School. Donna married Roy Hoyt on November 30, 1962 in Minden, Nebraska; he preceded her in death in March 2008. She was the manager at the Best Western in Lusk, Wyoming and later retired. Donna was a member of Clay Center Christian Church, Red Hats, Mary Lanning Auxiliary, and Clay Center American Legion Auxiliary. She attended First United Methodist Church in Hastings and volunteered many hours at Mary Lanning Healthcare.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roy Hoyt; daughter, Nancy; sister, Marsha; and brother, Terry.
