Donna Sharp

Hastings resident, Donna Lee Sharp, 79, of Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska, died Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Perkins Pavilion.

Memorial service will be Wednesday, April 8, 2009; 10:00 A.M. at Peace Chapel, Perkins Pavilion with Pastor Charles D. Johnson officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be given to Perkins Pavilion wing 400.

Ms. Sharp was born November 2, 1929 in Hastings, Nebraska to Avery & Lydia (Thiel) May. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1947 and married Donald E. Sharp. They later divorced. She was a floral designer for Bob Sass Flowers and taught ceramics at the Hastings Museum. She was President of the Girl Scouts for 1 year. In 1986, she moved to Bailey, Colorado and worked for Lehrers in Denver until her retirement. She returned to Hastings in 2001.

Ms. Sharp was preceded in death by her parents.
