Donnie Hess

Juniata resident, Donnie R. Hess, 83, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, October 17, 2014; 10:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church, Hastings with Pastor Greg Lindenberger officiating. Burial with military rites by Hastings Veterans Organizations will be in Juniata Cemetery, Juniata. Visitation will be Friday, October 17, 2014; 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. at the church. Memorials may be given to the family.

Donnie was born August 31, 1931 in Purdin, Missouri to Rev. Earl O. & Genevie F. (Pearson) Hess. Donnie served in the U.S. Army from August 7, 1952 until July 3, 1954. He married Shirley M. Foster on January 17, 1953. They moved from Wichita, Kansas to Hastings in 1974. Donnie worked as an auto mechanic and for Boeing Aircraft, he enjoyed cars, playing bingo, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Tiffanie Hess.
