Juniata resident, Doraldine D. Gangwish, 93, passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, December 19, 2014; 10:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Herbert E. Scott officiating. Burial will be in Juniata Cemetery, Juniata, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to Juniata Community Church or Juniata Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 18, 2014; 1:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. with family present 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

She was born May 9, 1921 to Cecil and Zelma (Wright) Stone in St. Ann, Nebraska. She married Glen R. Gangwish on July 31, 1941 and moved to a farm near Juniata, Nebraska, Juniata has been her home since. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Doraldine nurtured children through her paid and volunteer work in schools, 4-H and church and was the adopted grandma for many. She quilted, created beautiful wedding cakes with her sister-in-law Beverly Coats for more than 42 years, and spoiled us all with wonderful homemade noodles, cookies and pies. She provided service to others through her active involvement in the American Legion Auxiliary, Juniata Community Church, Election Board and Bloodmobile. She was a generous, kind and giving spirit who enriched the lives of many and left the world a better place.

Doraldine was preceded in death by her husband Glen R. Gangwish, her parents Cecil and Zelma Stone, brothers Wilbur, Dale, Otho and Harland Stone, and her parents-in-law, Earl and Nellie Gangwish.
