Hastings resident, Doris E. Bruntz, 89, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.
Services will be Friday, January 2, 2015; 2:00 P.M. at Faith Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Paul Dunbar and Pastor Josh Davis officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Thursday, January 1, 2015; 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. with family present 3:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M., Friday, January 2, 2015; 9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran Church or donor's choice.
Doris was born May 27, 1925 in Blue Hill, Nebraska to George & Minnie (Kranau) Hartman. She graduated from Blue Hill High School in 1944. Doris married Robert "Bob" L. Bruntz on April 21, 1946 in Hastings. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Lutheran Church, LWML at Faith Lutheran Church, Women's Bowling League, and volunteered for many years at Mary Lanning Hospital as a Pink Lady.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; son & daughter-in-law, Gary & Beverly (Wright) Bruntz; sisters, Velma Jones and Angie Elfers; brother, Wilfred Hartman; and infant brother, Harold Hartman.
